On Friday 10th October, Priestnall School was proud to welcome the BBC Bitesize Careers Tour to our main hall for an engaging and inspiring event.
Across four 45-minute sessions, students in Units 1 to 4 had the opportunity to hear from a panel of professionals working in exciting and diverse industries. Hosted by BBC presenter Joel Mitchell, the sessions featured guests from the Co-op Live Arena, the BBC production team, and a University Technician, each sharing their unique career journeys.
The panel explored a range of important topics including:
- The qualifications and pathways into their fields
- Real-life stories from their professional lives
- Tips on gaining valuable work experience
- The importance of soft skills in the modern workplace
Students were also encouraged to take part in a Q&A during the interactive portion of each session, giving them the chance to ask thoughtful questions and gain practical advice.
It was an inspiring experience that left many students thinking more deeply about their future career possibilities. We’re really grateful to the BBC Bitesize team for bringing such a valuable experience into our school community.
